Marco Bernuy is a talented and passionate chef from Lima, who has brought the authentic flavors of Peruvian cuisine to Miami.
Born and raised in Lima, the gastronomic capital of Peru, Chef Marco Bernuy immersed himself in culinary richness from an early age. As a young boy, he spent a lot of time exploring his grandmother’s kitchen, as it is common in Peru for children to grow up surrounded by grandmothers who pass on their culinary knowledge, developing a love for vibrant flavors and traditional techniques. This chef was fortunate enough to enjoy the flavors of both northern and highland Peru.
His maternal grandmother, originally from Chiclayo, taught him the secrets of emblematic northern Peruvian cuisine. Meanwhile, his other grandmother, native to the Lima highlands, passed on her knowledge and the traditional flavors of Lima’s cuisine. This unique combination of culinary influences has become a fundamental part of his identity and is reflected in his dishes.
Throughout his career, Chef Marco Bernuy has not only perfected his culinary skills but also embarked on his own business. In order to stay up-to-date with the latest gastronomic trends and immerse himself once again in his hometown’s culinary heritage, he returned to Lima in search of inspiration and knowledge.
With extensive experience, Chef Marco has mastered the emblematic dishes of Lima’s cuisine and experimented with innovative flavor fusions. His dedication to culinary excellence has earned him recognition as one of the emerging talents in the Peruvian gastronomic scene.
Currently based in Miami, he delights diners with his catering and home cooking, bringing the authentic flavors of Lima to different venues across the city.
